Coordinated Efforts Improve Safety in Our Community

We have some important and exciting news regarding the Constable’s Patrol. As of March 1, 2017, we are now coordinating the hours of three deputies with our immediate neighbors to the north, Vermont Commons and Park Commons, as well as our immediate neighbors to the east, WAMM and Audubon Place.

By coordinating our hours with other neighborhoods, we now have constable coverage seven days a week.

In addition to our own deputy, Dan Thomas, our neighborhoods will also be patrolled by deputies, Casey Dobbins and Raymond Garivey.

Deputy Dan Thomas is assigned to the Mandell Winlow Security Foundation contract. Deputy Thomas is a fourteen year veteran of the Constable’s office. Deputy Thomas’ prior experience includes stints at the Texas Department of Corrections and Harris County Sheriff’s Office as an arson investigator. Deputy Thomas is a graduate of Sam Houston State University with a degree in police science. Deputy Thomas has been married for 35 years and has two adult children.

Deputy Casey Dobbin is the deputy assigned the Vermont Commons/Park Commons contract. A former U.S. Marine, Deputy Dobbin joined law enforcement after leaving the military. Over his fourteen year career as a police officer, Deputy Dobbin has served in a variety of patrol, supervisory and administrative roles. Deputy Dobbin takes community service very seriously and desires to become a welcome part of the neighborhoods he patrols. Deputy Dobbin is married and hopes to grow a family with his wife very soon. When not enhancing our safety, Deputy Dobbin enjoys hunting and fishing.

Deputy Raymond Garivey III graduated from the College Of The Mainland Police Academy in December 2015. He has been serving the citizens of Harris County Precinct 1 for over a year. Deputy Garivey is currently assigned to the WAMM/AudobahnPlace contract. Deputy Garivey comes from a law enforcement family and hopes to follow in the same footsteps as his father who is a Captain with the Freeport Police Department. Deputy Garivey was born and raised in Rosenberg, Texas. He enjoy spending his free time with his family and favorite dog, Debo.

Please join us in welcoming all three deputies to the increasing number of Montrose-area neighborhoods that are finding ways to band together to increase safety, security, and crime awareness throughout the greater Montrose area.
