Who’s most vulnerable?

  • Busy families
  • Homes near busy streets or on the edge of a neighborhood
  • Homes near construction sites
  • Homes that look unoccupied
  • Previously burglarized homes
  • Homes without alarm or surveillance systems

Is a Security Systems worth it? 

  • Yes!
  • Homes without a Security System are 2-3 times more likely to be hit.

How do they enter? 

  • 34% Front door
  • 30% Unlocked window or door
  • 23% First floor window
  • 22% Back door
  • Through the garage or second floor

Where do they search?

  • First – Master Bedroom & Study
  • Second – Bedrooms
  • Finally – Bathrooms (for prescription drugs) & Garages for tools

Who are they?

  • Typically male, between 18- 25 years old, and probably with a partner
  • Lives a few miles away
  • Spends 8-12 minutes in an unmonitored house
  • Steals cash, guns, jewelry, small electronics, prescription drugs, and information for identity theft
